SkyShed POD w/ Zenith Table In Use

Description

This shot just shows the POD in wider view, and the zenith table in use to get the top of the dome out of the way for zenith imaging. The city glow is directly behind the pushed back dome, to the west, so there's no loss of dark sky from there around to the north (270 degrees clockwise to 360 degrees). The line of sight of the photo is looking just a hair east of True North (determined by Polaris at night and confirmed by tracking the Sun's shadow through local Solar transit).

If I want to image in the area between the pointer stars of Ursa Major and Polaris during the Fall months, I just leave the dome on the POD base, and rotate it out of the way to the south, giving me ample view to capture objects like M81 and M82, for example. But sky glow in the northerly direction makes for difficult processing of images due to gradients.
